Google displays this message when it believes you're performing too many searches in a short period of time -- like the "automated requests" they mention in the first paragraph.

If you're NOT doing multiple searches in a short timeframe, then follow the instructions about looking for a virus and/or spyware that's running searches from your IP/machine automatically.

Good luck. Hope this helps.
This is the problem I too face sometimes. However, there is no specific answer on this from any one. Its more of a google problem I guess.. if its from our end, following are the possible reasons for this kinda issues.

* It's because you are using anonymous surfing software.

* Try Deleting site cookies

* Use a different browser.

Happy journey in google search :)

vista may be more of the problem than google--trash it--use xp
viruses tends to hide itself from anti virus softwares as much as it could especially if its a new virus, and the the software that you have is notup to date, but i am pretty sure its a virus issue that you are having
vista just sucks! All kinds of compatibility problems, go back to xp!

What antispywere do you prefer to use?

As a result of using Internet I had massive problems with Spywares and viruses. I installed a toolbar and it came packaged with spyware and clutter up my browser with useless buttons. It happened quite a long time ago and I just tolerated that. But the serious problems started when I opened unknown email letter. One of virus on my computer was a really invasive spywere and made me to think seriously about doing something. I tried to delete some files I considered to be bad in a safe mode but it didn鈥檛 work. I thereafter routinely ran several antispyware programs, none of which eradicated the spyware totally. I've tried some protection systems, the free ones. As I鈥檓 not very experienced in that case I used the most typical programs. While trying different anti-viruses and anti-spyweres I downloaded the Spy-Shredder. I just wanted to put in a good word for the program. Actually it鈥檚 a great program and it helped me much. I have not had a spyware infection since I switched over to it and I haven't had any unwanted pop-ups either. I wanted to thank the guys who made the anti-spywere. I spent so many hours solving problems of my computer and trying to delete malicious stuff from it. Just love the program!

How many anti virus and spy ware?

how many anti virus and spyware should I have installed?

I`ve got AVG free, Avast, Spy doctor, peer guardian 2, kerio firewall, and windows defender.

Is this overkill?

I sometimes think that i should have a few more spyware, which ones would be good to down load?

How many anti virus and spy ware?antivirus

I've got Norton 360, it covers me for viruses and spyware :)

all you need is one of each.

How many anti virus and spy ware?computer

One anti virus and as many as you like spware removers
You got AVG and avast! installed? You only need one! otherwise sometimes they cannot work well together, pick what one you think is best and then uninstall the other one completely, and if you think one of your anti-virus has missed some viruses out, just use an online scanner. Windows defender isn't really that good, i'd recommend spybot search and destroy and superanti-spyware (Free Home Edition) Firewall is okay
Have only one anti-virus and one anti-spyware in real-time as it can cause problems having more than one active.

i.e. if a virus comes then both anti-virus softwares will clash and system can crash. So have just one in real-time i.e. in the background. the others can be used to scan manually.
Well yes..

First, you shouldn't have 2 anti-virus programs on your

Computer Freeze :(?ariel

First, it would be nice to know what kind of freezing you're getting

There's quite a few

There's the BLUE SCREEN OF DEATH (horrific scream)

where a blue screen filled with words pops up basically telling you that your pc is f'd up.

There's the hardlock, where nothing works and it doesn't reboot it self

Then there's the softlock(I call it this, but call it what you will)

That's when the PC locks up for a short time, but recovers shortly.

First, I would monitor your computer temperatures... some computers lock themselves after reaching a certain temperature.. This could be because of the summer heat.

Second, I would run http://www.memtest86.com/

that checks if your memory is faulty

I've seen faulty memory cause lockups many-a-time!

Third, I would upgrade ALL of your drivers

PC Maintenance?

What are the best ways to keep my pc running fast and free of issues? I have McAfee Total Protection and Spyware Doctor which i run regularly. Also I use defrag on xp. Is there anything else I should do?

PC Maintenance?aurora

A clean computer is key to a faster computer. Run the 3 scans below.

Run a virus scan weekly.

Update and run your Anti-Virus program. Don't have one? You can run a free online scan from CA.

http://www3.ca.com/securityadvisor/virus...

Run Spybot and Adaware weekly.

Download, update and run Spybot---http://www.safer-networking.org/...... . Don't forget to use the Immunize feature.

Download, update and run---http://www.snapfiles.com/get/SuperAntiSp...

Now to prevent spyware from being installed in the first place....

Download SpywareBlaster---http://majorgeeks.com/download2859.html....

SpywareBlaster doesn't scan and clean for spyware - it prevents it from ever being installed.

It's main features include:

- Prevent the installation of ActiveX-based spyware, adware, browser hijackers, dialers, and other potentially unwanted pests.

- Block spyware/tracking cookies in Internet Explorer and Mozilla/Firefox.

- Restrict the actions of potentially dangerous sites in Internet Explorer.

Now lets clean up your registry.
