In detail please not all people know much about computers. how to find C:\RECYCLER\s-1-5-21 bla bla bla...so i can delete it? and some others to. know of any good addware deleters, spyware or maleware deletes,,,,not just free scans, but a cleaner to?

Click in bottom left corner on Start. Go to Search. Then click on Files and Folders. In the C drive put in the word you listed above and when it pulls up the file, highlight it and delete it.
AdAware seems to do a good job. lavasoft.de is the site, I believe. And it's free.

does anyone know of a FREE software to prevent and delete trojans/spyware from your computer. I have warning signs saying tht i have spyware running on my computer but nortan anti virus isnt picking it up. i need one that just targets spyware.

Norton has got spyware built in. If these messages are coming up while you are surfing the net, its probably adverts TRYING to get you to buy spyware software.

Check your Norton package is all up to date with spyware definitions. You should be ok!

Try spybot search and destroy you can download it from www.downloads.com
not all the free will do that as some of the free cary spware in it try this to remove trojans

Since you got Ultimate Cleaner installed through a trojan, there's a good chance you also have more malware in your system than you know about. So I would suggest that run Superantispyware after running the removal procedure to get rid of any other malware that may have snuck in.

This morning when I came downstairs and started my computer, it started okay but then when it came to my main desktop screen, all of these pop-ups came up telling me to download all these programs because I had high level virus threats on my computer and it said all this stuff about people invading my computer and it said that my computer and internet connection has slowed and that people may be hacking through my files. Its not a virus, but rather adware and possible zlob and/or smitfraud infection. Use these scans to remove it.

Problems shutting down my laptop?

I have a Dell Inspiron 6000 that is less than a year old. I have all the latest Microsoft updates, and I have McAfee and other virus and spyware programs. My computer is virus-free. It seems to run fine until I try to shut it down. It freezes (about 60% of the time) when it gets to the point "windows is shutting down" I can't even just press the power button. I have to unplug it and take out the battery to get the computer to shut off. Any suggestions on what's wrong??

What Operating system are you using? XP? There is probably something that is constantly running in the background and refuses to close.

Sounds like you are on the right track: Virus scan, Spyware programs.

Here's a side trick. Hold your power button down for about 10 seconds. it should shut off your computer/laptop

try going through your startup menu under msconfig though run
just hold down the off button until it turns off or see the manual if not go to radio shack or something, stores where they"ll help you ya"know

I had the same problem before. I can tell you that if you hold the power button down for about 5-7 seconds it will shutdown with out unplugging and taking out the battery.

There might be a bug somewhere in your browser. Have you run the defragment? If that does not help, I would suggest calling a professional computer guru to help!
