Windows Defender says no unwanted or harmful software detected.?

Cyber Defender says there are 50 or so problems found. (Spyware%26Adware)

Norton always finds one tracking cookie

Both are free versions and I'm unable to delete the 'problems' with the free version.

What should I do, and are there any TRULY free versions where I can scan my computer and remove any problems?

Except Kaspersky, each offers removal.

If you want stand-alone desktop product, try AVG antispyware. It works 30 days in trial mode, than some features get disabled - but scanning, updating and removal work anyway.

unfortunately, every single one of those services will find something different in your system and have different ways of getting rid of it too. All are good systems too...here's another one that I like to use and recommend it to people...heck, I've recommended it to so many people I should get a kickback or something...lol
