My laptop got infected with spyware, and I was wondering if there was any free downloads that work well, or what would anyone recommend to buy.

To get rid of spyware:
Download Adaware (http://www.download.com/Ad-Aware-2007/30... ) Get the updates for it and your antivirus. Turn off System Restore (http://support.microsoft.com/kb/310405 )
Restart in safe mode (http://www.pchell.com/support/safemode.s... ) run both scans and delete what you find.

Go to download.com and get AVG free 7.5 run a full scan then go to spywareterminator.com and download it. Spyware terminator is one of the best spyware removers there is

you can download AVG for free, but i have norton 360, which is really good. i got it cheap to its like 25-30 quid at staples
get norton 360 trial it iis exelent and i think you will buy it when the trial is up
The best anticipates programs are kaspersky and Bit Defender
