preferably someone professional in working with computers but any advice welcome.i have just run spyware doctor thinking it was a free programme,other than buying the product is there anyway i can get rid of.[dialer.bt.d] which it picked up in scan .it was one of those download use us , buy us programmes.spybot doesnt seem to pick it up or mcafee.any help would be appreciated.

Try AVG free anit-spyware software and there virus scanner too. Both free and very good at catching/removing these.
Go to www.superantispyware.com and download the Free version
download-install/run daily a free programme,:ad-aware-se personal, http://lavasoft.com also ccleaner is excellent (free too) http://download.com
and sign up free for http://pcpitstop.com and use the full test utility there
the infection in question is a dialer program which hides from the user during operation. Removal of this software is advisable if it is not installed for a purpose
it is also known as Dialer.BT.e Dialer.BT.f,and has close associations to british telecom,
