Do you hate norton antivirus?

I do. The firewall let spyware install on my system with no consent. SPYWAREQUAKE. It came up with pop ups of porn.

SPYHUNTER is a free program it gets rid of bad spyware, cookies and system registrys. I HAVE IT AND RECOMEND IT HIGHLY. It doesn't just get rid of spyware quake.

the problem with norton is setup.

Ive had the other choices too...definately prefer norton over the others... but for higher end systems.

Definately prefer other choices for lower (older) systems.

Most of what you guys are talking about is doable with norton if u setup things correctly.

As far as email errors, u proabably didnt set it up right.

Ive so far have had only one problem one time and that was years ago, requireing a reinstall of NIS.

heh Norton Anti-Virus wouldn't let me send any emails because it kept scanning them saying "some error has occured" so I turned it off.
i dont use norton anti-virus anymore

for me, it uses too much of system memory so i changed to NOD32..it is great

for spyware and adware removal i use ad-aware personal edition and spybot search and destroy...both are top rated free softwares
I call it the Norton Anti-Christ.
I hate it!!!!

I installed free antivirus, firewall and antispyware programs, and my pc runs smoother than when I had that crappy Norton.
HAD it sucked get AVG. Free and Better than all paying one(s) believe me been doing computers for 10yrs. Good Luck.

I think Norton itself is a virus.
I`m not impressed with Norton at all I had a friend that spent good money on it and she ended up with several viruses over 100 of them
