Can downloading music from Multiply.com give you viruses?

I made an account on multiply just cuz i wanted free downloads...and it IS free....but i was wondering can it give you spyware or viruses? if not....imma go download a whole bunch of stuff. thanks to all who helps meh'!

I have a question for you. When you download music from multiply does it go into you WMP? Because that's what happens to me and I can't get it into my itunes or ipod. I just wanted to know how you did this. Report It

I heard and was recommended Lymewire; however, you still should have an Anti virus program installed because some files may contain virusus. You have to always be careful before opening a file always scan the file for virusus before opening it. This should help you discover any odd content bedore opening the file to listen to the song or mp3. That's what I could come up with...
The easiest check to do is look at file size. I'm not sure if multiply gives you that or not but i know limewire does. A typical music file is going to be about 2-3 MB (approximately 1MB per minute of the song.) If the file size is less than 2MB chances are its a virus.
