Help, i just got a virus and I don't have anything to remove it?

this is horrible, i downloaded something by mistake and I tried removing everything from my computer by going to change or remove programs. that sort of help but now I don't know what else to do. every time i open internet explorer, I get this pop up saying that I should download this spyware thing? ugh someone help, is there a free anti-virus that i can download? :(

so go download something. mcafee has a free 30 day trial, avg is free forever..... just don't use the one that is popping up

Get http://www.avast.com/ its free and It Works .. i build and sell computers and i always put this on before the go out the door Its better than norton anti virus . and its free just sign up .. i use it as well.

Scans for any type of malware.

I advise against using any "Rooting" so called anti virus such as Norton/Mcafee, takes up too much system resources and roots itself into your system and can screw with other anti-malware programs you may install in the future.
